Nail Testing

Nail drug testing offers a reliable, non-invasive way to screen for drug use.

When drugs are ingested, the body’s blood flow carries traces of drugs to different parts of the body, including nail beds.  Drugs get into the nail and stay there long after the bloodstream has cleared.

The nails from fingers and toes are clipped and collected.  Substances such as nail polish will not alter the test results.

This method of drug testing determines if drugs have been used at any time over the past 6-8 months.   Since the nail test reveals long-term use, it is often used as an indicator to the donor’s lifestyle as related to drugs.
